At the County Commissioners meeting this morning it was reported, by the Mosquito Control Communication person, that they have arranged for aerial spraying beginning at 6pm Wednesday October 19th. This is necessary because their ground spraying is insufficient for the salt water marshes that have been breeding grounds since the hurricane. It may continue through the night and they caution all residence to stay indoors during this period and keep any pets indoors as well. A paper flyer is supposed to be delivered to all residences in St. Johns county along the Atlantic Ocean, but some may not get this message. I suppose it will be announced on local radio, but that is not assured. We should expect multiple fly-overs throughout the night.
The current tracking for Hurricane Matthew, available at this link, shows the eye of the storm off the east coast of Florida on Friday morning, with outer bands pushing into the middle of the state. The National Hurricane Center is categorizing the storm at that time as a Category 3. All common area pool furniture will be brought into shelter . We STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you prepare your unit accordingly and bring in all outdoor furniture and décor that could potentially become airborne. Please inform your rental companies and tenants, if applicable. Should our offices be forced to close or evacuations issued in your area, we will let you know.
Attention Ocean Club owners. There is a good chance we will have some nasty weather and strong wind this week. Please bring in any hanging pots, umbrellas, and light furniture from patios to avoid any property damage during the storm.

IMPORTANT PAVING SCHEDULE CHANGE
There has been a change in the schedule for the previously noticed paving project. Every effort will be made by Duval Asphalt to minimize the impact on owners and guests and to complete the work quickly and efficiently. Please be advised of the work schedule outlined below and inform anyone who may be visiting or renting your unit on the specified days.
Wednesday, June 10th – West entrance will be widened. Access to the property from the west entrance may be limited for a few hours that day. Please use the east entrance as needed.
Tuesday, June 16th – the entire driveway and parking lot area will be milled and re-paved. The work will take place approximately between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and every effort should be made to avoid driving in the property at that time. If you park your vehicle in your garage and will need to use it on the day of the paving, please pull out of your garage on Tuesday night (or early Wednesday morning) and park off-site. If you park in the spaces on the south end of the property, please also be sure to move your vehicle off-site before 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Everyone will be able to access their units on foot during the process but be sure to use caution and follow any crew members’ instructions when passing through the work area.
